I’ve heard a lot about GDPR. What is it and what does it mean for me?
European regulators have created a series of new rules about how your data is used to replace the current Data Protection Directive. It is called the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and it will come into action on May 25, 2018.
The GDPR applies to ‘personal data’. This means any information which can alone, or in combination with other information, result in the identification of the person to which the data is referring to. Think name, date of birth, address, email address, telephone number, bank details and IP address as a starter for ten. The GDPR also covers ‘special personal data’, including genetic and biometric data.
What if I am not happy with my results?
If for whatever reason you are unhappy with the results of the work I complete for you, first I will attempt to rectify the problems in order to find a suitable solution. If this doesn't work, I will restore the changes made (in the case of websites) back to their original state.
Finally, if the problem cannot be rectified at all, I will only charge 50% of the total project cost for the time and effort put into the task.
How long will my project take?
It is always difficult to give an exact time-frame for project completion, as each is unique and have their own challenges. Before we start your project, I will give you an estimate and will regularly update you throughout until completion.
- For complete website designs and/or overhauls, you can expect your project to take from 2-3 weeks.
- For small design tweaks, these can generally be completed in a few days.
- Image creations for blogs and social media are usually completed within a week.
- Content writing up to 3 working days.
- Content management would be an ongoing regular task for a set period of time
- Social media management would also be ongoing until the contract period is completed.
Can you advise me on what I need?
Absolutely. If you're unsure on what changes you need to be made to your website, content or social channels, I can certainly take a look at what you already have in place.
I will review everything and pass on my own suggestions based on industry trends, in order to make some improvements. I do all of this with your business goals in mind.
What Do You Charge?
The reason why I have not listed any pricing structure on this site is because I generally charge per project, once I have the full details of what the work will entail. For small jobs such as tweaking fonts or a colour, I charge a rate of £20 per hour, with a minimum charge of 1 hour of work.
Can You Train Me To Use WordPress?
Absolutely. Depending on what you what you would like to learn, I can provide one-to-one training via skype or via step-by-step written tutorials.
Do You Offer Hosting and Domain Registration?
I do not offer my own hosting and domain registration packages. However, I can advise you on how to set this up for yourself, using simple, easy to understand instructions in order for us to work on a site for you.
Do You Work With Free WordPress.com Websites?
Due to the limitations in customization with WordPress.com, I only offer my customisation services to self-hosted WordPress sites.
Do You Only Work With WordPress?
WordPress is usually the only Content Management System that I use, however, I am open to using alternatives if I am given the time to research and learn to use those platforms effectively. For example, I recently completed a Landing Page project using Unbounce which was a great success as well as a useful learning curve.
What Content Management Platform do You Use?
I work solely with WordPress Websites due to its ease of use, great functionality and customisability.
Do You Work With E-Commerce Businesses?
At this present time, I do not work with businesses who require an e-commerce website.
